Halloween Guide of Amsterdam

Hiii!!

We have past the first half of October already, in my opinion that means moving to the best time period of year: Halloween!!!

Thus, I wanted to share some of the spooky activities that I have experienced/ recommend in Amsterdam.

A quick warning though: This list is for those who happen to be in Amsterdam around October, not for those who plan to visit Amsterdam on purposefully for Halloween. Furthermore, as I mentioned in my text "When Should You Visit Netherlands?" Amsterdam is not a good location to visit in Halloween, even Turkiye celebrates it better then Netherlands. To experience Halloween within Europe I would recommend you to visit Ireland, Scotland or Romania.

The Amsterdam Dungeon

The 'xxx Dungeon' trend is specifically popular in England (London), yet it has spread all the way to Netherlands. Amsterdam Dungeon, is a interactive theatre experience in which you can experience the dark face of the city and the horror stories of the Medieval Netherlands. The tour awaits for you with lots of screams, laughter and complementary drinks.    The tour is given in English and the acting skills are just perfect.

Chimera Fantasy Shop

Chimera Fantasy Shop is one of the most original shops I have ever been to in Amsterdam. It is not exaggerating if I tell you the inside feels like the middle world of Tolkien. You can find costumes for Medieval Fantasy cosplays and fairies, dwarfs alongside some fantastical jewellry.

The Museum of Torture

It is a museum of torture, hence the name. Inside is an exhibition depicting the exact replicas of torture devices from middle ages alongside drawings which explain how they are being used. The inside looks like a dungeon and smells a bit, making the audience feels claustrophobic. To be very honest, I would not want to be the only one inside, which makes it the perfect Halloween experience.

P.S. A similar museum to this exists in the Hague: Prison Gate Museum. 10/10.

The Ghost Walk

Unfortunately, I haven't experienced this tour yet, however, it surely feels like the best activity to do in Halloween.  If any one of you has tried the tour before, I would appreciate your feedbacks about it in the comments section. Plus, to reach more information you can click here

Pink Poppy Flowers
BONUS: Walibi Fright Nights

This is not in Amsterdam, yet, if you are living in Netherlands, it is a must try!! Walibi  is an amusement partk, consisting mainly of rollercoasters that are exciting and even a bit scarry. In Halloween, they have scare actors interacting with the audience. It was one of the most fun activities in Netherlands.
